On the contrary, Osaka is also a pretty large city, but lacks that sense of urgency to everything. Like most major cities it's expensive, but more than that, there's a sense of rushing, business to everything and everyone that I don't think I could get used to. I've been to Tokyo several times and I like it a lot. But it's still a town of around 8000 and very comfortable. I live in Shiga, Japan right now, considered one of, if not the most, rural parts of Japan. Walking down a street of blooming cherry blossom trees is like taking a peak at heaven. Nothing I've seen beats a Japanese spring. If you've got the money, you can live in basically any environment, any size city or the middle of no where. Lakes, rivers, mountains, canyons, prairies, forests, hot climates, cold, wet or dry. America kinda has it all, crazy over-populated, overly expensive mega cities like NYC and tiny little towns with a few dozen people. I have a lot of critiques of my home country but this is very much not one of them. Thu 2nd Apr It differs in the extreme.(and you don't need to have played the first to enjoy the second and vice versa) Though only very very very loosely connected story-wise. But even if I did, I still see what we call VR as little more than a screen on my face with a gyro built This is a major remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles, as in the original game for the Wii. And I might be more receptitive to VR if I could find a VR headset that I could wear comfortably with my glasses. On another note: I like motion controls as a supplement to a game, but not as a focus. And then sometimes I'd get them without even leaving my room because someone would walk past the building! I always liked the wonder of "Is it someone I know? Or where might they be from? What game were they playing? Etc etc." There were people I used to hit every day in university and I never figured out who they were. I know people in the US and Japan who lived in very very rural areas and complained a lot about Streetpass features because for them there was very little opportunity to use them.įor me it was always a thrill though. I collected every prefecture in Japan and most US states, as well as passes from countries all over Europe, some from Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand and beyond. Pokemon ORAS and Animal Crossing New Leaf did it best in my book, being able to see other people secret bases and battle their set trainer and being able to see their houses and buy items respectively.īut a lot of other games just used it as a very minor feature or not at all that made it kind of a waste.Įven the built in Streetpass functions were fun. I carried my 3DS around everywhere for years! But some games really made better use of it than others. They'd have flown off shelves and they could have had one Pokemon Amiibo card per pack of regular TCG cards I absolutely loved Streetpass on 3DS. On another note it always baffled me why Pokemon was never into the Amiibo scene. But at the same time, I've always wondered if Nintendo was actually making a profit off of them and that could be why they've been phasing them out. But Amiibo are some of the best quality collectible figures for the price range I have ever seen! Far better than those hideous Funko pops and other "popular" collectibles. Tue 31st Mar I never really cared too much about the game functionality.Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (Switch).Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Review. Were you hoping the features from the 3DS game would be included in the Switch release?
